Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Following the U.S. announcement regarding the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, China has also declared its support for Iran, raising concerns about escalating tensions in the region.

According to the Chinese News Agency, China’s Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun stated, “We are committed to peace and stability in the world. We are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East.”

He further added, “Our naval vessels are entering and exiting the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. We have trade and energy agreements with Iran, and we will honor and respect them. We also expect others not to interfere in our affairs. Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, and it remains open for us.”
