PM Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Armed Forces on First Anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq”.

Islamabad/Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” said that May 10 marks a proud and historic day for the nation, symbolizing Pakistan’s courage, resilience, and unity in the face of aggression. He said the day is an occasion to thank Almighty Allah for His countless blessings and to pay tribute to the martyrs, their families, and the ghazis who defended the homeland with unwavering determination.

The Prime Minister stated that the coordinated response of Pakistan’s armed forces across land, sea, air, and cyber domains demonstrated to the world that Pakistan is an invincible nation. He said “Marka-e-Haq” stands as evidence that the Pakistani nation is peace-loving yet courageous, dignified, and resilient, and cannot be intimidated or subdued by any act of aggression.

He added that the enemy suffered a decisive defeat that shattered its illusion of invincibility. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid rich tribute to Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his bold leadership, saying his strategic decisions brought pride to the nation. He also praised Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber and Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their strategic prudence and professional excellence.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by the unwavering support of the nation, had written a new chapter in the Pakistan-India context by demonstrating that while Pakistan seeks peace, it is fully capable of safeguarding its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He warned that any aggression against Pakistan would be met with an immediate, befitting, and full-spectrum response.

Highlighting the fight against terrorism, the Prime Minister said Pakistan remains determined to eliminate “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” and to take the battle against terrorism to its logical conclusion.

Referring to Kashmir, he said no story of Pakistan is complete without the unresolved Kashmir issue, which remains the unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent. He emphasized that lasting peace and strategic stability in South Asia cannot be achieved without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said Pakistan is now recognized globally as a responsible state that not only knows how to defend itself but also plays a key role in promoting international peace and stability. He noted that Pakistan’s mediation efforts during the ongoing US-Iran conflict and its diplomatic initiatives for peace have received worldwide acknowledgment.

Concluding his message, the Prime Minister urged the nation to honor the sacrifices of the martyrs of “Marka-e-Haq” by standing united like a “Steel Wall” against all adversaries and working selflessly for the progress, stability, and glory of Pakistan.
