Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — The European Union, in collaboration with the United Nations and the World Bank, has released the final Gaza Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA), highlighting the extensive destruction caused by 24 months of conflict.
The report estimates that approximately $71.4 billion will be required for Gaza’s recovery and reconstruction over the next decade. Of this amount, $26.3 billion is urgently needed within the first 18 months to address immediate priorities.

According to the assessment, Gaza has suffered massive damage across critical sectors, including housing, healthcare, and education. The report also notes a severe economic contraction of approximately 84 percent, reflecting the scale of devastation.
The findings emphasize that recovery efforts must begin immediately, alongside continued humanitarian assistance, to stabilize conditions and support the population affected by the prolonged conflict.
Officials stressed that coordinated international support will be essential to rebuild infrastructure, restore essential services, and lay the groundwork for long-term economic recovery in Gaza.
