RAWALPINDI, (TW NEWS) – Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, interacted with prominent figures and political leadership from Balochistan, discussing the province’s development, security and future prospects.

During the interaction, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that the present and future of Balochistan are inseparably linked with the future of Pakistan. He said the province was blessed with talented, resilient and patriotic people whose potential could play a vital role in the country’s progress.

The COAS & CDF underscored that a clear national narrative, coupled with lasting peace and stability, was essential to unlocking Balochistan’s economic potential, attracting investment and converting its abundant human and natural resources into tangible prosperity for its people.

He particularly highlighted the importance of empowering the province’s youth, saying Balochistan had no shortage of talented young people or opportunities. Providing them with meaningful opportunities to participate in national development, he noted, remained central to achieving sustainable progress.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said militant groups referred to by the state as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were foreign-sponsored proxies being used by hostile elements to destabilize Balochistan, impede its development and create divisions between the state and its people.

He expressed confidence that such designs would be defeated through collective national resolve and a firm and decisive response by the state.

The army chief also appreciated the contribution of Balochistan’s notables, community leaders and other segments of society towards promoting peace, strengthening social cohesion and fostering constructive national discourse.

He called for a comprehensive response to hostile propaganda and false narratives, stressing the need to highlight the province’s true potential, development and aspirations. He reiterated that the destiny of Balochistan ultimately rests in the hands of its people.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development and prosperity in Balochistan and Pakistan. They expressed their resolve to stand alongside the state and armed forces in confronting threats to peace and stability and pledged to contribute towards people-centred development aimed at building a peaceful, stable and prosperous Balochistan.
