Indus Hospital Hosts Gala Dinner in Dubai, Raising Support for Free Healthcare in Pakistan.

Dubai, (Tahir Munir Tahir) __ The Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) successfully hosted its UAE Gala Dinner 2026 in Dubai on January 10, bringing together more than 400 guests in an evening marked by generosity, solidarity, and a shared commitment to dignity, access, and equitable healthcare.

The annual gala drew strong participation from overseas Pakistanis and supporters, reaffirming collective dedication to improving healthcare for underserved communities in Pakistan. IHHN is one of the country’s largest free healthcare networks, providing completely free, life-saving treatment to over six million patients annually.

The event served both as a celebration of impact and a call to action, reinforcing the belief that access to healthcare should never be determined by financial means. The presence of renowned Pakistani actors Noman Ijaz and Mahira Khan added momentum and enthusiasm to the fundraising efforts.

The fundraising segment witnessed vibrant participation, with Mahira Khan leading a spirited auction featuring a sari from her personal collection. Another highlight was a cricket bat signed by 12 national cricketers, which attracted significant attention from donors.

During the evening, IHHN CEO Dr Zafar Zaidi delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the network’s future vision and strategic priorities. He emphasized strengthening IHHN’s education and research initiatives, expanding its primary healthcare programmes, and continuing to build a sustainable healthcare model that reaches communities at the grassroots level.

Funds raised during the gala were dedicated to supporting IHHN’s Emergency Department, a critical lifeline for thousands of patients who rely on immediate, life-saving care every day. The emergency department serves as one of the most vital entry points into IHHN’s healthcare system, often supporting patients at their most vulnerable moments.

Beyond statistics and milestones, the evening highlighted the human stories at the heart of IHHN’s mission—families saved from the burden of medical debt and communities given renewed hope. The event further strengthened the longstanding bond between IHHN and its supporters in the region, reaffirming a shared responsibility to ensure ethical, impact-driven healthcare remains accessible to all.

As IHHN continues to expand its reach across Pakistan, the generosity and unity displayed in Dubai stand as a powerful reminder of what collective action can achieve—transforming compassion into care and hope into healing.
