Diplomacy and Dialogue Essential in Times of Global Crises, Says Pakistan’s Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch

Paris, (Sultan Mahmood) — Pakistan has reiterated its enduring commitment to multilateralism, international law, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, delivered a keynote address at a conference organized by the Rotary Club of Paris under the theme “Pakistan in a Changing World.” She provided a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s role and position in a rapidly evolving international order.

Highlighting Pakistan’s strategic location at the crossroads of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, the ambassador emphasized the country’s consistent commitment to multilateralism, international law, and peaceful conflict resolution. She stressed that in an era of complex global challenges—including terrorism, climate change, and economic instability—dialogue and diplomacy are not optional tools but essential necessities.

Ambassador Baloch underscored Pakistan’s active role in de-escalation efforts and its positive contribution to United Nations Peacekeeping operations. She also briefed participants on Pakistan’s role as a facilitator in ongoing developments in the Middle East and reaffirmed the country’s readiness to contribute constructively to all efforts aimed at sustaining peace and dialogue.

She further highlighted Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, dynamic youth population, and growing economic momentum. The ambassador also noted the country’s ongoing reform agenda and emphasized significant opportunities for trade and investment with France and the broader European community.

The event brought together members of the Rotary Club of Paris along with distinguished guests from the diplomatic, business, and civil society circles in the French capital.
