Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — The world’s largest food and beverage trade fair, “Anuga 2025”, which began in Cologne, Germany in 1924, concluded yesterday.
Held every two years, this year’s edition brought together over 8,200 exhibitors from 110 countries, including 54 companies from Pakistan. Of these, 34 companies participated under the pavilion of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan 🇵🇰 (TDAP).

Spread over 290,000 square meters, the exhibition took place from October 4 to 8 and attracted nearly 160,000 trade visitors. Reports indicate that 90% of these visitors were international buyers, coming from outside Germany. This year, 78 countries organized 174 group pavilions representing a wide range of food and beverage products.
The global food and beverage sector accounts for 10% of the world’s GDP, generating revenues of $19 trillion with an average growth rate of around 6%.

Major segments of this industry include raw food, processed food, meat, dairy, organic food, bakery and confectionery, hot and cold beverages, chilled and fresh foods, and alternative food products.
It is worth noting that the Asia-Pacific region currently leads the world in global food sales, with specialty dairy products ranking among the top-selling categories.
