Sofia, Bulgaria 20 June, 2023 : Khalid Hasan khan’s documentary, Twinkling without Shining (Afghans in Search of Childhood) wins 6th international award after getting jury’s approval from the GOLDEN FEMI REFUGEES FILM FESTIVAL (SALVATION CALLED CULTURE), in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria, EU.
Creative Director of Golden FEMI Film Festival, Efemia Fard wrote in her greeting message, “we are delighted that you submitted your magnificent film to the festival!”
The documentary deals with predicament of the Afghan displaced children who have long been living in Pakistan as breadwinners for their families, back in Afghanistan.
Khalid Hasan Khan mentioned, ” it is the sixth international award for Twinkling without Shining; earlier, the project has bagged five awards; two from South Korea; one each from Ukraine, Türkiye and the United States of America.” The documentary was co-produced by Mohsin Jaffri and Syed Ovais Ali, while Zahid Raja was the DP of the project.
