Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Javed Kausar, President of PABOSI and the Pak-Benelux Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PBOCCI), Brussels, Belgium, visited IFTECH Pakistan 2026 at the Expo Centre Lahore, one of the country’s leading international exhibitions for food and beverage processing, packaging, food ingredients, bakery, frozen foods, cold chain solutions, and related machinery.

During his visit, Kausar toured various exhibition stands and expressed keen interest in the latest food technologies, ingredients, packaging solutions, frozen food systems, and industrial machinery showcased by Pakistani and international companies. He described the participation of European, Chinese, and other global exhibitors as a positive development for Pakistan’s growing food industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Kausar said that platforms such as IFTECH Pakistan provide an excellent opportunity for food businesses, bakeries, restaurants, frozen food companies, and food processing enterprises to access innovative technologies, improve quality standards, adopt modern packaging solutions, and establish valuable international business connections.

He also visited the Belgium Embassy and Belgian trade representation stand, where Belgian companies and business opportunities were being introduced to the Pakistani market.

Kausar noted that significant opportunities exist for cooperation between Belgium and Pakistan in the fields of food processing, cold chain management, packaging, food safety, and industrial machinery. He emphasized that while Pakistan’s food industry possesses immense potential, future growth will depend on adopting modern machinery, strengthening food safety measures, ensuring traceability, improving packaging standards, and aligning with international best practices.

He described IFTECH Pakistan 2026 as an informative, business-focused, and highly beneficial exhibition that can contribute significantly to the modernization and international competitiveness of Pakistan’s food sector.
