Brussels, (Unib Rashid) _ Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, has strongly rejected allegations by the Afghan Taliban that a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul was targeted, calling the claims baseless and misleading.
In an official statement, he said Pakistan, in its ongoing war against terrorism, is targeting only those military and terrorist sites that are directly or indirectly involved in planning, facilitating, sheltering, training, or supporting attacks inside Pakistan.
He clarified that the strikes carried out on the night of March 16, 2026, in Kabul and Nangarhar were precise, deliberate, and professionally executed. No hospital, drug rehabilitation center, or civilian facility was targeted during these operations.
The Afghan Taliban regime is peddling yet another falsehood by alleging that Pakistan targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul. This claim is entirely baseless.

According to the minister, the strikes were aimed at terrorist infrastructure, including ammunition depots, technical equipment storage facilities, and other installations linked to hostile activities against Pakistan. He added that video footage of all six strikes was released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, clearly demonstrating the nature of the targets.
Tarar further stated that the visible flames and secondary explosions observed in Kabul confirmed that ammunition storage sites were accurately hit.
He accused the Afghan Taliban of repeatedly relying on false narratives, misleading claims, recycled imagery, and selective deletion of previous statements to distort facts, adding that the latest allegations were part of the same pattern.
Warning of the broader threat, he said that territories under Afghan Taliban control continue to pose a serious threat to Pakistan, the region, and global peace. He noted that the threat has intensified, with reports of drug addicts and even children being exploited for heinous acts, including suicide bombings.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, the minister said the country will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens, counter terrorist capabilities, and deny safe havens to militants operating from across the border.
