Brampton, (TW News) — Marking a significant milestone in Uganda–Canada diplomatic and economic ties, the Uganda High Commission hosted the 1st Uganda–Canada Business Forum at the Marriott Hotel in Brampton. The event brought together prominent business leaders, government officials, investors, and trade professionals for an engaging exchange of ideas, opportunities, and future partnerships.

The forum highlighted key sectors including agriculture, tourism, mining, and science & technology, emphasizing the potential for enhanced bilateral trade and investment between Uganda and Canada. Participants expressed optimism that strengthened cooperation in these areas could pave the way for deeper economic integration.

During the event, H.E. High Commissioner Allan Kajik and senior officials of the Uganda High Commission held a strategic meeting with Sadat Choudhary, President of the Pakistan Sister Cities Initiative (PSCI) and CEO of Red Media Circle & International Fashion Festival Canada (IFFC).

In the meeting, both sides expressed strong interest in collaborating on a Tri-Country Uganda–Pakistan–Canada Fashion Week & Trade Expo, with potential editions to be hosted in both Canada and Uganda. The proposed initiative aims to blend culture, commerce, and creativity, promoting fashion diplomacy and showcasing the emerging talent and industries of all three nations.
