Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — A controversy has emerged following US President Donald Trump’s remarks on Iran and nuclear weapons, prompting a strong response from Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
According to reports, President Trump made a statement referring to the possibility of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons, in which he allegedly said that such a development would be “unacceptable,” adding a controversial remark suggesting that Iran could “wipe out Italy within minutes.”

Responding to these comments, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that, to her knowledge, nine countries possess nuclear weapons, and only one of them has ever used them — the United States.
“Mr. Trump needs to be more cautious when speaking on this issue, because no one uses nuclear threats the way Washington does,” Meloni reportedly said, adding that he should “be more mindful of his words.”
