Islamabad/Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep gratitude to brotherly and friendly countries for extending full diplomatic support to Pakistan during Operation Bunyan al-Marsus.

Addressing a special ceremony held to mark the completion of one year of Operation Bunyan al-Marsus and Operation Haq, the Prime Minister said Pakistan highly values the unwavering support provided by its allies during a critical period.

He particularly thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for playing what he described as a “historic role” in promoting peace in the region and helping save millions of lives.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed special appreciation to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the President of Turkey, and other friendly nations for firmly supporting Pakistan’s position and standing with what he termed the truth.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese leadership, and the people of China for their continued political, diplomatic, and moral support to Pakistan during Operation Bunyan al-Marsus. He said China once again demonstrated the strength of its longstanding friendship with Pakistan.

Highlighting Pakistan’s regional diplomatic efforts, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the country is sincerely working to help establish peace in neighboring Iran. He stated that Pakistan played an important role in persuading the concerned parties to agree to a temporary ceasefire and facilitating foreign ministers’ talks for the first time since 1979.

He also commended the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their contributions toward regional peace and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, regional stability, and constructive diplomatic engagement with friendly countries around the world.
