PM Shehbaz Sharif, Iranian President Pezeshkian Discuss Regional Peace and Strengthening Bilateral Ties.

Islamabad/Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, during which both leaders exchanged detailed views on the evolving regional situation and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability.

During the call, the Prime Minister shared an overview of his recent diplomatic outreach to various world leaders, noting that these engagements had contributed to building broader consensus in support of sustained dialogue and diplomacy aimed at achieving lasting peace in conflict-affected regions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the constructive discussions held by the Iranian leadership with Asim Munir during his recent visit to Tehran earlier this month, terming them a positive step toward regional understanding.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s firm commitment to regional peace, the Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan would continue its sincere and proactive efforts to promote peace and security across the region.

President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Ishaq Dar for their meaningful contributions to peace efforts. He reiterated Iran’s desire for peace and voiced confidence that the fraternal relations between Pakistan and Iran would continue to grow stronger in the future.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his respectful greetings to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties with Iran.
