London (Special Correspondent): In the wake of heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, a high-level delegation from the Government of Pakistan, led by Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has arrived in London. The delegation will engage with several members of the UK Parliament, including the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir.

The delegation is also scheduled to hold meetings with senior leadership and officials at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), as well as prominent think tanks and international media outlets. These engagements aim to highlight Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and its perspective on recent developments in South Asia.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other members of the delegation will present Pakistan’s stance on the India-Pakistan situation and reinforce the country’s principled position on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Emphasis will be placed on the necessity of resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The delegation will draw attention to India’s recent aggressive actions, which Pakistan views as violations of international law, and will underline Pakistan’s responsible approach and desire for peace. It will advocate for dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred means for conflict resolution, and urge the international community to play an active role in promoting sustainable peace in South Asia.

Another key agenda item is the importance of restoring the routine functioning of the Indus Waters Treaty.

Delegation members include:

  • Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, Federal Minister for Climate Change
  • Senator Sherry Rehman, Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change and former Minister for Climate Change and Information
  • Hina Rabbani Khar, Chairperson of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and former Foreign Minister
