BRUSSELS/KARACHI, (Unib Rashid) — The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Thursday organised a high-level webinar on the trade potential between Pakistan and Kazakhstan in the agriculture sector, as part of efforts to expand Pakistan’s commercial engagement with Central Asian markets.
The webinar brought together around 65 participants, including leading exporters, agricultural traders and business representatives, providing a platform for enhanced business-to-business (B2B) cooperation between the two countries.
During the session, Rakhimzhan Aripzhanov, Head of Food Market Development and Technical Regulation on the Kazakh side, delivered a detailed briefing on Kazakhstan’s agricultural import market.
He outlined key regulatory requirements, tariff structures and market demand, while responding to queries from Pakistani exporters regarding opportunities for rice, olive oil and fresh fruits in the Kazakh market.
Rizwana Qazi, Trade and Investment Officer (TIO) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, also gave a presentation on bilateral trade dynamics and potential market opportunities.
She highlighted promising segments of the Kazakh market and discussed possible entry routes for Pakistani agricultural exporters seeking to strengthen their presence in the Central Asian country.
The webinar also provided Pakistani businesses with an opportunity to better understand market access requirements and identify areas with potential for increased agricultural exports.
TDAP reiterated its commitment to supporting Pakistani exporters, facilitating market access and addressing trade-related barriers to promote sustainable commercial partnerships with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian economies.
The initiative reflects Pakistan’s broader efforts to diversify export destinations and strengthen economic and trade relations with Central Asian countries.
