BRUSSELS/ISLAMABAD, (Unib Rashid) – President of the Pakistan Investors and Business Forum (PIBF) Riyadh, Engr. Ghulam Safdar, held a series of meetings with senior government officials and business representatives during his recent visit to Pakistan, focusing on strengthening business and investment linkages between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The meetings were facilitated through the initiative of Mr. Kunwar Qutubuddin Khan, Chairman, Lakeshore Towers, and focused on creating practical channels for Pakistani businesses to access opportunities in the Saudi market while encouraging investment by Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors based in Saudi Arabia.

Engr. Safdar held discussions with Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Tourism; Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh at the Board of Investment’s Business Facilitation Centre; Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis; and Senator Azam Khan Swati.

The discussions covered opportunities for expanding bilateral business cooperation, facilitating investment and strengthening institutional linkages between the Pakistani and Saudi business communities.

Particular emphasis was placed on creating a reliable platform through which Saudi-based Pakistani investors could identify viable opportunities in Pakistan, while Pakistani businesses could explore access to Saudi Arabia’s expanding market.

The meetings were also held in connection with PIBF Riyadh’s broader roadmap for developing stronger business-to-business and institutional relationships between the two countries.

During the visit, a strategic plan was finalised to organise an Investors Conference in Riyadh. The proposed conference is expected to bring together Pakistani business leaders, government representatives and the PIBF leadership to explore investment opportunities and potential partnerships.

Mr. Kunwar Qutubuddin Khan assured his full support for the initiative, which aims to strengthen commercial relations and facilitate greater participation of the private sector in Pakistan-Saudi economic cooperation.
