Brussels/Islamabad, (Unib Rashid) — The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s leadership and its people for their strong diplomatic efforts in facilitating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, as well as for their patience during the temporary closure of Islamabad.
In his statement, he said that at the conclusion of the Iranian delegation’s visit to Pakistan, Seyed Abbas Araghchi extended heartfelt thanks to the Government, armed forces, and people of Pakistan. He noted that the visit was part of a broader regional diplomatic tour aimed at reviewing bilateral relations and consulting on regional developments.
He also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their tireless efforts toward ending the conflict and promoting lasting peace in the region.
The ambassador highlighted that, similar to previous rounds, this visit was conducted in a highly secure and peaceful environment. He credited Pakistan’s careful planning, efficient arrangements, and successful execution for ensuring the comfort and safety of the delegation.
He further expressed appreciation for the army personnel, security forces, police, administrative staff, and especially the citizens of Pakistan and residents of Islamabad for their patience, hospitality, and cooperative spirit throughout the period.
Concluding his message, he raised the slogan: “Long live Iran-Pakistan friendship.”
