Brussels, (Unib Rashid): The European Union has strongly condemned recent attacks by violent Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, including incidents targeting European diplomats visiting settlements in the area.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS), the EU said it strongly condemns the recent attacks carried out by violent settlers in the West Bank, including those against European diplomats.

The spokesperson welcomed statements by Israeli representatives condemning the attacks but stressed the need for full accountability and effective measures to prevent ongoing violence and harassment against Palestinians, including journalists, particularly during the current olive harvest season.

The European Union urged Israel to fully respect international humanitarian law and international human rights law and called for an end to the expansion of Israeli settlements.
