Brussels: Kashmir Council Holds Event Marking Anniversary of “Battle of Truth”, Pays Tribute to Armed Forces.

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) — Chairman of the Kashmir Council EU, Ali Raza Syed, stated that the success of “Battle of Truth” (Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos) has boosted the morale of the Kashmiri people and strengthened their voice on the international stage. He said the Kashmir issue has once again become the focus of global attention.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at the Council’s Central Secretariat in Brussels on the occasion of the first anniversary of the successful operation “Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”

Ali Raza Syed said that Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, meaning “a solid wall of lead,” symbolizes the historic success and strong response of the Pakistani armed forces against Indian aggression. He added that the operation highlights Pakistan’s defense capabilities, national security, and the professional excellence of its armed forces, and that this achievement would be remembered in history in golden words.

He further stated that Pakistan is the true advocate of the Kashmiri people and should continue to play a more active and effective role internationally so that the Kashmir issue can be resolved in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

He emphasized that Pakistan’s influence at the global level has increased, and this opportunity should be utilized to make serious diplomatic efforts for securing the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Referring to the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, he said the Kashmiri people have faced grave human rights violations, political repression, and military lockdowns for decades. He noted that since 1947, Kashmiris have suffered continuous oppression, and particularly after August 5, 2019, when the Indian government revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, the situation has entered a new and more critical phase.

He said the Kashmiri people continue to demand their right to self-determination in line with UN resolutions and seek a peaceful and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute according to their wishes.

Other speakers at the ceremony also addressed the gathering and congratulated the people, government, and armed forces of Pakistan on the anniversary of the “Battle of Truth,” paying rich tribute to their services and sacrifices.

The event was attended by political, social, and community figures, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan. Representing the embassy were Press Counsellor Saghir Anwar Wattoo, Minister Customs Asad Rizvi, and Counsellor Asad Awan.

Among the notable participants were President of the World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance Europe Chaudhry Khalid Joshi, senior PPP Belgium leader Malik Muhammad Ajmal, PPP Digital Media representative Shiraz Butt, senior Kashmiri leader Sardar Siddique, Raja Khalid, President of Pakistan Press Club Belgium Chaudhry عمران Saqib, Chairman of Pak-Benelux Overseas Chamber Hafiz Uneb Rashid, community leader Fareed Khan, Professor Imad Hanif, and community leader Saleem Memon.

The speakers collectively praised the role of Pakistan’s political and military leadership, as well as the Foreign Office and other national institutions, for their performance during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
