Manchester Hosts Grand Event in Support of Almarah Foundation, Community Leaders and UK MPs Praise Services for Orphans

Among the participants were: Chairman of the Pakistani Community Centre Chaudhry Haroon Afzal Khattana, Syed Sajjad Haider Shah, Musarrat Chaudhry, Deputy Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Faisal Rana, solicitor Bilal Babar, CEO of Manchester Superstore Chaudhry Bilal Ghafoor, British MPs Yasmin Qureshi and Elsie Blundell, CEO of My Lahore Ashfaq Farooq, former Lord Mayor Councillor Abid Chauhan, renowned cardiologist Dr. Aamir Ayub, Dr. Liaqat Malik, Chaudhry Altaf Shahid, Adeel Chaudhry, PTI UK President Malik Imran Khalil, North West President Asif Rasheed Butt, Chaudhry Rizwan Nasir, PML-Q President Syed Rizwan Hashmi, and Chaudhry Shehzad, along with many other distinguished members of the community.

Renowned Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, who is serving as Ambassador of Almarah Foundation, said the organization has been actively providing immediate support to flood victims as well as long-term care for orphans and destitute children by creating a home-like environment. He stressed that other welfare organizations should learn from Almarah Foundation’s practical model.

DIG Mehboob Aslam Lillah praised the Foundation’s remarkable efforts for orphans. Consul General Imtiaz Feroz Gondal said that the way Almarah Foundation is raising orphan children “like their own” is commendable, urging the community to extend generous financial support. Deputy Mayor Faisal Rana, Chaudhry Haroon Afzal Khattana, and Chaudhry Bilal Ghafoor also applauded the Foundation’s services, calling for wholehearted assistance.

Former Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Asim Rasheed, who supported the event’s arrangements, said that overseas Pakistanis have always stood with welfare organizations working in Pakistan and expressed hope that the community would continue to support Almarah Foundation as well.

MPs Yasmin Qureshi and Elsie Blundell, along with Dr. Aamir Ayub, also appreciated the Foundation’s work and assured their full support.

Chairperson of Almarah Foundation Sofia Warraich thanked all the guests and said: “We have provided a home-like atmosphere for orphan and destitute children so that they never feel they are living in an institution. Our dream is for these children to achieve a bright future and make Pakistan proud.”

CEO of My Lahore, Ashfaq Farooq, said his organization supports Almarah Foundation because it is actively engaged on the ground and delivering real impact. Deputy Chief Constable Naveed Malik and other senior police officers also expressed admiration for the Foundation’s remarkable services.

The evening was further brightened by a musical performance from N.S. Chauhan, which entertained the audience. Attendees generously donated to the cause, with strong community recognition for the vital role Almarah Foundation is playing in transforming orphans and underprivileged children into responsible citizens.
