A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna on the occasion of Black Solidarity Kashmir Day on 27th October.
VIENNA : A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna under the patronage of the Acting Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Adeel Khan Afridi in connection with the Day of Black Solidarity in Kashmir on October 27.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Manzoor Riaz. Stage secretary, Second Secretary Hassan Abbas welcomed the guests to the Embassy and thanked them for attending the Black Day event.
On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Acting Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Adeel Khan Afridi read out the messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the participants. A short documentary film was also screened at the event highlighting human rights violations by India against the people of Occupied Kashmir which have escalated since India’s illegal unilateral actions on August 5, 2019.
On this occasion, the speakers condemned Indian atrocities. While talking, Acting Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Adeel Khan Afridi Ambassador said that India’s Hindu extremist BJP, RSS government is pursuing an ethno-fascist agenda through its policies aimed at changing the demographic composition of Occupied Kashmir from a Muslim-majority state to a Hindu-majority state and eliminating its separate identity.
He reiterated his commitment that Pakistan would continue to extend all diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of IOJK. He also referred to India’s violent policies and hegemonic designs which pose a serious threat to peace and stability in South Asia. Professor Musrat Shaukat Awan and Egyptian Professor Dr. Izzat paid tribute to the Kashmiri people who are bravely fighting for freedom from India and making sacrifices.
They called on the international community to raise its voice in support of the people of Occupied Kashmir, who are deprived of the right to self-determination and are victims of brutal occupation by India for decades. At the end, the representatives of the community passed a resolution.
which strongly condemned India and demanded that all human rights violations against the people of Occupied Kashmir be ended, calling for the withdrawal of the August 5, 2019 measures.
