Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels Inaugurates Week-Long Photo Exhibition to Mark Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir.

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – To observe Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir (5 August), the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels inaugurated a week-long photo exhibition on 31 July 2026 to highlight the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

The exhibition presents a compelling visual account of the hardships endured by the people of IIOJK for last many decades which exacerbated after 5 August 2019, depicting the humanitarian challenges and continuing restrictions faced by the Kashmiri people. Through photographs and documentary material, the exhibition is meant to raise awareness among visitors about the situation in IIOJK and the importance of a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi underscored the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir as a day of remembrance and solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated Pakistan’s principled and unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The Ambassador emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia will remain elusive without the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He called upon the international community to continue supporting efforts aimed at safeguarding human rights and promoting a just and peaceful settlement of the dispute.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors for one week at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels serving as a poignant reminder of the resilience of the Kashmiri people and Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with their just struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination
