Brussels, (Unib Rashid) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Building on the positive momentum generated by the recent visit of the European Union’s High Representative/Vice-President to Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister instructed the Ambassador to follow up on the understandings reached during the visit and continue efforts to further strengthen cooperation with the European Union in key areas, including trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

The meeting also reviewed ongoing engagement between Pakistan and the European Union and explored ways to deepen bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors of mutual interest.
It is pertinent to mention that Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi, who is posted in Brussels, is currently in Pakistan in connection with the recent visit of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to Pakistan.
