Seafood Expo Global Opens in Barcelona with Participation from 86 Countries.

Brussels/Barcelona, (Unib Rashid) – Europe’s largest seafood exhibition, Seafood Expo Global, opened today in Barcelona, Spain, marking the start of its 32nd edition. The three-day event will run from April 21 to April 23.

The exhibition is being held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue, where more than 2,300 companies from 86 countries are participating. In addition, 65 national pavilions have been set up, allowing countries to showcase their products and capabilities in a more organized and impactful manner.

According to the organizers, the expo serves as a key platform for companies across the entire seafood supply chain—including producers, processors, logistics providers, and exporters—to present their latest innovations to international buyers.

City authorities estimate that the event will generate over €160 million in economic benefits for Barcelona, boosting sectors such as tourism, hospitality, and local business activity.

Seafood Expo Global is widely regarded as a leading international marketplace for the seafood industry, facilitating global trade connections and highlighting emerging trends shaping the future of the sector.
