Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Javed Kausar Rana, President of the Pak–Benelux Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry based in the European capital Brussels, has congratulated Tariq Tanveer on receiving the Asia Farm Tourism Award. In his message, he said that the award is a moment of pride for the agricultural community.

He stated that his dear friend Tariq Tanveer has been honored with the Outstanding Farm Tourism Advocate Award at the 5th Asia’s Farm Tourism Awards.

The award was presented by the International School of Sustainable Tourism (Philippines) during the 9th International Farm Tourism Conference held in the scenic mountain city of Baguio City.

Javed Kausar Rana said the award recognizes more than two decades of continuous efforts and services for the promotion of farm tourism in Pakistan. He further said that he personally feels proud to call Tariq Tanveer his friend.

“He truly belongs to those people who sincerely want Pakistan’s farmers to become stronger, the rural economy to grow, and our villages to prosper,” he added.

Under the leadership of Tariq Tanveer, initiatives such as Theme Villages, Harvest Festivals, Student Agri-Tourism Clubs, and experiential agricultural education models have introduced a new approach to agricultural tourism in Pakistan.

Expressing his best wishes, Rana prayed that Allah Almighty grants him further success and enables him to expand his services for Pakistan’s farmers and rural economy. He described the award as a proud moment for Pakistan and its farming community.

It is worth mentioning that the Pak–Benelux Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the first overseas Pakistani organization to sign an MoU with the Agri Tourism Corporation, formally establishing cooperation in this field.
