Pakistani Professionals Hold Key Virtual Meeting with Federal IT Secretary and P@SHA in Switzerland.

Switzerland,(Imran Mazamil) __ Under the auspices of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland, Dr. Marghoob Saleem Butt, Pakistani professionals in Switzerland held a significant virtual meeting with Federal IT Secretary Zarrar Hasham Khan and representatives of P@SHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association) to discuss avenues for strengthening technology and digital collaboration.

The meeting was formally inaugurated by Ambassador Dr. Marghoob Saleem Butt, who welcomed all participants and introduced the Pakistani professionals in attendance. In his opening remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the vital role of overseas Pakistani experts and emphasized the need to further strengthen IT, technology, and digital cooperation between Pakistan and Switzerland.

During the session, Pakistani professionals delivered detailed presentations outlining the areas in which Pakistan can offer expertise and services, as well as how it can meet the growing demands of the Swiss and European markets.

Imran Mazamil and Fareed Viyani provided a comprehensive briefing on cybersecurity, emphasizing the importance of protecting digital infrastructure, risk management, and a skilled workforce. Nadim Sermast discussed IT infrastructure and telecommunications, highlighting the relevance of modern networking, connectivity, and system efficiency.

Khawar Memon presented investment and economic cooperation opportunities, identifying potential partnerships and avenues for investment in Pakistan. Saad Ahmed and Mahmood Rehman offered detailed insights into Pakistan’s capabilities in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) and their role in the global market, while Atif Iqbal presented business and commercial opportunities.

Federal IT Secretary Zarrar Hasham Khan and his team also delivered an in-depth presentation on Pakistan’s provision of IT and digital services on the global stage, highlighting policy initiatives, regulatory frameworks, and international partnerships.

During the meeting, the Federal Secretary stated that Pakistan currently ranks in the Tier-1 category in cybersecurity, reflecting the country’s technical expertise, trained workforce, and global credibility. He added that Pakistan possesses the capacity to meet international market demands in cybersecurity, data science, AI, and digital infrastructure.

The meeting concluded with participants describing the session as highly productive and purposeful. Attendees expressed their commitment to further enhancing institutional collaboration, practical initiatives, and ongoing engagement to build a strong technology partnership between Pakistan and Switzerland.
