SIFC Hosts EU Delegation to Strengthen Pakistan–EU Investment Ties

Islamabad, (TW News) __ Pakistan — The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) welcomed a high-level delegation from the European Union (EU) to discuss enhanced economic cooperation and finalize plans for the upcoming Pakistan–EU Business Forum, which is expected to be held soon in Pakistan.

The delegation was led by H.E. Raimundas Karoblis, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, accompanied by Mr. Jeroen Willems, Head of Cooperation EU. They were received by Mr. Jamil Qureshi, Secretary, SIFC.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for strengthening the EU–Pakistan investment partnership, emphasizing opportunities in key sectors and encouraging greater engagement of European businesses in Pakistan’s growing economy.

The long-anticipated Pak–EU Business Forum, a joint initiative of SIFC and the EU Delegation in Pakistan, is now moving toward realization. The forum aims to bring together over 300 leading EU companies to explore investment prospects across diverse sectors including energy, infrastructure, and technology.

According to officials, the forum will serve as a platform to build lasting economic bridges between Pakistan and the European Union, promoting trade, innovation, and job creation through open dialogue and collaboration.

Mr. Qureshi expressed appreciation for the EU’s commitment to fostering closer economic relations with Pakistan, emphasizing that such partnerships are vital for shared prosperity and a robust Pak–EU community.
