TFN Pakistan to Host Dialogue on Trade Facilitation Challenges Amid Disruptions

Brussels/Islamabad, (Unib Rashid) – The Trade Facilitation Network (TFN), Pakistan Chapter, will host an online dialogue on October 29, 2026, to identify gaps in trade facilitation during disruptions and explore measures to strengthen Pakistan’s import and export performance.

The dialogue will bring together importers, exporters, logistics operators, freight forwarders, trade professionals, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss challenges affecting the country’s trade competitiveness.

Trade disruptions, delays at border crossings, rising freight costs and interruptions to transport routes continue to create challenges for international commerce. The proposed discussion aims to identify practical solutions to minimise these obstacles and improve the efficiency of Pakistan’s trade operations.

Key topics will include gaps in trade facilitation during disruptions, border operations and customs clearance delays, increasing freight costs, regional connectivity and alternative trade corridors. Participants will also examine the role of ports, shipping and multimodal transport in maintaining the smooth movement of goods.

The dialogue will further focus on practical reforms that could help improve Pakistan’s import and export performance, strengthen regional trade connectivity and enhance the resilience of supply chains during periods of disruption.

The online session will begin at 2:30 pm Pakistan time and will be held via Zoom. The organisers have invited professionals and stakeholders from relevant sectors to share their experiences, insights and recommendations.

Interested participants can register online at https://lnkd.in/dkKviRrk. The Zoom joining link will be displayed on the registration confirmation screen after successful registration.

The Trade Facilitation Network’s Pakistan Chapter works to connect stakeholders and promote dialogue on improving trade facilitation and regional connectivity.
