Speakers at a Kashmir Black Day event in New York have urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts for a peaceful and just settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
The event marked 79 years since 27 October 1947 and highlighted Kashmiri aspirations, human rights and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Organized by the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, the campaign called for renewed international engagement, dialogue and a peaceful settlement involving India, Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
