Standing Committee on Agri-Tourism (FCCI) Holds Key Meeting at FCCI Committee Room.

Faisalabad, (Unib Rashid) __ The Standing Committee on Agri-Tourism of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) held an important meeting on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the FCCI Committee Room. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tariq Tanveer, Convener, and attended by Ms. Shazia Sharif, Co-Convener, along with all committee members.

The primary focus of the meeting was to review and finalize preparations for the 14th Annual National Kitchen Garden Festival 2026, which will be organized to celebrate National Kitchen Garden Day 2026 on Sunday, 1st February 2026. Detailed discussions were held on event planning, division of responsibilities, logistical arrangements, management structure, and coordination mechanisms to ensure the successful organization of the festival. After thorough deliberations, all key arrangements and responsibilities were finalized.

In addition to festival planning, the committee discussed the overall agenda and targets for the year 2026 to be carried out under the banner of the Standing Committee on Agri-Tourism, FCCI. Special emphasis was placed on aligning agri-tourism initiatives with government policies, promoting sustainable agriculture, and integrating agri-tourism into broader economic and tourism development frameworks.

The meeting also deliberated on urban beautification planning, the potential of “Pind Punjab Da”, tree plantation campaigns, environmental sustainability, and community engagement initiatives. The committee collectively set clear goals and action plans for 2026, focusing on green initiatives, rural tourism promotion through Pind Punjab Da, farm-based activities, and public awareness programs.

The meeting was attended by the following committee members:
Gulzar Ahmad, Rana Muhammad Akramullah, Javed Kausar Rana, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Shoq, Habib ur Rehman Gul, Engr. Muhammad Babar Shehzad, Syed Khalid Mahmood, and Dr. Khalid.

Co-opted members from academia, including Dr. Salma Amber, also participated in the meeting.

Several observers were present, including Rana Muhammad Khan (Anjuman Kashtkaran), Mudassar Shaheen, Muhammad Umar, and special guests Chaudhry Talat Mahmood, Waheed Rama, and Rana Sakhardar Azam, Executive Member of FCCI.

The participants expressed strong commitment to promoting agri-tourism, environmental sustainability, and rural economic development through well-planned activities and collaborative efforts throughout 2026.
