Abu Dhabi, (Tahir Munir Tahir) __ President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, during his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, met with the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi. The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to promoting tolerance, dialogue, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of fostering dialogue, social inclusion, and harmony among diverse communities. President Zardari paid tribute to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praising the UAE’s National Vision of Tolerance and Human Fraternity.

President Zardari lauded the UAE’s success in promoting unity and mutual respect among more than 200 nationalities, describing it as a remarkable global model of social harmony. He said that the UAE’s achievements in interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence have positioned the country as an international example of tolerance and inclusivity.

The President noted that these values strongly resonate with Pakistan’s own commitment to interfaith harmony, social inclusion, and respect for cultural and religious diversity, as enshrined in Pakistan’s Constitution and deeply rooted in its societal traditions.

First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party and MNA Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates were also present during the meeting.
