Bern, (Imran Muzammal) __ Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland, the Vatican and Liechtenstein, Dr. Murghob Saleem Butt, met with the President of Switzerland, Mr. Guy Parmelin, on the occasion of the New Year’s reception held at the historic Federal Palace in Bern.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Murghob Saleem Butt conveyed New Year greetings and best wishes from the Government of Pakistan to the Swiss President. The two leaders exchanged views on further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Switzerland, based on mutual respect and shared interests.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade, diplomatic and people-to-people exchanges. The Pakistani ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Switzerland and highlighted the strong foundation of trust and partnership that exists between the two countries.
Dr. Murghob Saleem Butt emphasized that Pakistan–Switzerland relations have significant potential for further expansion, particularly in areas of mutual economic and diplomatic interest.
According to diplomatic sources, the meeting is being viewed as a positive reflection of the growing and stable relations between Pakistan and Switzerland, and an important step toward further strengthening bilateral cooperation and diplomatic engagement.
