Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Pakistan Day celebrations on March 23 will be celebrated with extreme simplicity in all missions abroad, including the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels.
This was announced by Pakistani Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. In his message issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he said that “This year, March 23, the national day, will be celebrated with simplicity in all Pakistan missions abroad, limited to the traditional flag hoisting ceremony.”
“In light of the austerity measures announced by the Prime Minister, and as a show of solidarity with the countries and people of the Middle East and the wider region affected by the ongoing conflicts and the tragic loss of innocent lives, the National Day celebration will not be held this year,” he said. “Pakistan hopes that dialogue and diplomacy will prevail and peace, stability and prosperity will soon return to the entire region and beyond.”
