BRUSSELS/ISLAMABAD, (Unib Rashid) – Pakistan has strongly condemned the “reprehensible” attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian and economic infrastructure in several cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Pakistan described the attacks targeting Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran as a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Foreign Office said such attacks posed a serious threat to regional peace and security and undermined international efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful settlement to the conflict in Yemen.

“Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the Foreign Office said.

Pakistan also expressed its sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs further stated that, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supported Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right to defend its territory, citizens and national assets against external threats.

The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting all efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting lasting peace, security and stability in the region.

Pakistan has consistently maintained that regional disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic means while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
