Pakistan Retains Top Position in Erasmus+ Scholarships for the Fifth Consecutive Year; Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi Congratulates Students.

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to the European Union, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, has congratulated Pakistani students after Pakistan secured the top position worldwide for the fifth consecutive year in the European Union’s flagship scholarship programme, Erasmus+.

According to the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, the Erasmus+ framework continues to strengthen a long-standing and mutually beneficial academic partnership between Pakistan and the European Union. The collaboration is based on shared commitments to academic excellence, youth mobility, research cooperation, and capacity building.

In a message posted on the embassy’s official X account, it was stated that the large number of Pakistani scholars selected under the programme is a testament to the depth of educational cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union.

The embassy noted that Pakistan’s position at the top of the global rankings for the fifth consecutive year reflects both the outstanding talent of Pakistani youth and the growing strength of the academic partnership between Pakistan and the EU.

The statement further emphasized that the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels remains committed to advancing its Science Diplomacy agenda and accelerating Pakistan-EU cooperation in higher education, research, innovation, and emerging technologies. The embassy continues to serve as a bridge connecting institutions, researchers, and innovators from both sides.

On this occasion, the embassy also acknowledged the valuable contribution of former First Secretary Muhammad Adeel, whose efforts during his tenure in Brussels helped promote Pakistan-EU collaboration in science, technology, innovation, and higher education.

The embassy extended its heartfelt congratulations to all 98 Pakistani students selected under the Erasmus+ programme.
