London, (Shahzad Ali) __ The High Commissioner, Dr. Mohammed Faisal, hosted a dinner for a delegation of CEOs from Pakistani banks at Pakistan House in London.

The delegation is led by Dr. Inayat Hussain, Executive Director of the State Bank of Pakistan, and includes Chairmen and CEOs of banks and global money transfer operators attending the “Pakistan Remittance Summit 2025” held in London and Manchester.

Members of the British-Pakistani community and friends of Pakistan were also present.

The High Commissioner emphasised that the United Kingdom hosts one of the largest, most vibrant, and generous Pakistani diasporas worldwide. He noted that Britain has consistently ranked among the Top-3 sources of remittances to Pakistan.

He attributed this remarkable growth to the unwavering trust and patriotism of overseas Pakistanis; to the diligent coordination between the State Bank of Pakistan, the Pakistan Remittance Initiative, and our commercial banks, which have facilitated easier remittance transfers than ever before; and to reforms that have introduced transparency, competition, and digital innovation into the remittance ecosystem – reforms that have transformed Pakistan into one of the most cost-effective and fastest remittance corridors globally.
