Islamabad, (TW News) — The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, H.E. Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held delegation-level talks with H.E. Rosan Roeslani, Indonesian Minister for Investment and Downstream Industry and Chief Executive Officer of Indonesia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund (Danantara), focusing on enhancing bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
The discussions centered on strengthening Pakistan–Indonesia economic and investment ties, reviewing potential areas of collaboration, and identifying mutually beneficial projects. Both sides explored opportunities for the exchange of best practices and cooperation in priority sectors, including health, with an emphasis on long-term, sustainable partnerships.
During the meeting, presentations were delivered by the Ministry of Finance, Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and the Board of Investment (BOI), highlighting Pakistan’s investment landscape, priority sectors, and facilitation mechanisms. The Pakistani side also sought to benefit from Indonesia’s experience and expertise, particularly in the areas of sovereign wealth fund structures and downstream investments.
Reaffirming the importance of longstanding bilateral relations, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister underscored the shared commitment of both countries to cooperation based on mutual respect and common interests. He emphasized that mutual investment could serve as a key catalyst in further strengthening the Pakistan–Indonesia partnership.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Health, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Chairman Board of Investment, National Coordinator SIFC, Secretary Finance, Acting Foreign Secretary, and other senior officials from both sides.
