At the ceremony, His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan Mohammad Kamran Akhtar read out messages addressed to the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan. He further said that these messages have reiterated Pakistan’s full support and commitment to the Kashmiri people. The international system is capable of resolving any dispute, but unfortunately, when it comes to Kashmir and Palestine, it lacks the will. He reiterated that the international community needs to play its full role in ending human rights atrocities in occupied Kashmir and implementing UN resolutions to ensure peace and stability in the region.

The helplessness of the international community regarding Kashmir and Palestine is astonishing. Kashmiris deserve the fundamental human right of self-determination as promised to them by the UN. The terrorism perpetrated by India on innocent civilians in Kashmir reveals the hypocrisy, betrayal and tyranny of the world’s largest self-proclaimed democracy. He urged the international community to hold a free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations to deny the Kashmiris the right to self-determination.

He reiterated his unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until the dispute is resolved in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He called on the international community to hold India accountable for the crimes against humanity committed in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to play its role in stopping the barbaric atrocities on the Kashmiris and to honour the commitments made to them through the (UNSC) resolutions.
