VIENNA : Pak Friends Austria organized 23rd March Pakistan Day and annual Eid Milan party in Vienna on Sunday, April 6 at 1 pm in the local hall. In which the Pakistani community and the international community from England, Germany, Italy and various cities of Austria, Salzburg, Linz, Graz participated in the event in groups along with their families. Women, children and adults participated in the event and showed their love for Pakistan and gathered under the green crescent flag to express solidarity and give the message that we are one,
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan Kamran Akhtar, Head of Chancery Adeel Khan Afridi, Community Affairs Counselor Shahzad Saleem and other embassy staff from the Pakistan Embassy in Vienna.

The ceremony was also attended by the leader of the Austrian SPÖ political party leader Omar Al-Rawi, (SOZ) political party president Hakan Gördü, political leaders Nouman Awan, Selim Biljin, women’s leader Sali Attia, former President of the Islamic Religious Community in Austria (IGGiÖ).
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Abdul Rehman Shah and Qari Shabbir had the privilege of reciting Naat Sharif. In his address, the President of Pak Friends Austria, renowned religious scholar Allama Ghulam Mustafa Baloch, thanked all the attendees, participants and the Ambassador of Pakistan for celebrating March 23 with the Pakistan Day and the Annual Eid Milan (PFA).
At the event, girls and children performed various songs on various tablous, earning applause from the thousands of attendees present at the venue. And the famous European group “Qafila Musik” performed for Qawwali and Ghazals.
In his short speech, the His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan congratulated Pak Friends Austria for organizing a grand and splendid event and congratulated the participants on March 23 Pakistan Day and the annual Eid Milan Party. He said that in fact, you are ambassadors who love Pakistan even while living far away from your loved ones in foreign countries and come together to celebrate Pakistan’s events. Which is a matter of great joy and pride.
He further said that you should celebrate happiness in the same way with love and affection. Many students who are studying in Austria today will make their country famous in the future. In Austria, we have to strengthen our structure. We have to win the hearts of the Austrian people with our ethics, love and hard work.
In his speech, the leader of the Austrian political party,SPÖ Omar Al-Rawi, praised the Pakistani community and said, “I am very happy that I was invited to this program today. I wish everyone a happy Eid. Elections are being held in Vienna on April 27. I want you all to vote for (SPÖ) and make us stronger.”

Selim Biljin, women’s leader Sali Attia, gave special speeches. First of all, they congratulated Eid and on this occasion they said that Muslims in Austria need a leader to come forward at this time. Our party aims to provide protection for Muslims.
We want to raise our voice for the rights of Muslims. We want our party to win the Vienna elections this time and we openly support our Muslim brothers and sisters. Talking about women’s rights, Leader Sali Attia, said that we want to provide a platform for Muslim women in which we can talk about women’s rights. Muslim women, who are living in Vienna in large numbers. They should have opportunities to move forward. I request you all to vote for our party members in the April 27 Vienna elections so that we can raise our voice for Muslims.
Gifts were distributed among the children by His Excellency Ambassador Kamran Akhtar and Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa Gujjar and his wife, guests from Salzburg. On stage, the wife of Community Affairs Councilor Shahzad Saleem and Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa Gujjar’s wife presented gifts to all the children’s.
PFA President Allama Ghulam Mustafa Baloch led a collective prayer for the progress, prosperity and glory of Pakistani. At the end of the ceremony, Pak Friends Austria, after the adults, and children, served delicious food, sweet dishes, drinks, tea, etc. to the guests.
