Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Dr. Nasir Rashid from NUST has developed a remotely operated robot designed to protect human lives during the spraying of toxic chemicals. The announcement was made by NUST University through its official account on X (formerly Twitter).
In the video released by the university, the robot can be seen entering hazardous areas to perform tasks that could pose a danger to human operators. The system enables safe disinfection of hospitals, airports, agricultural fields, and public spaces by keeping operators at a safe distance.

According to the video, viewers were introduced to the “tele-operated decontamination system developed by Dr. Nasir Rashid from the Department of CEME at NUST.” The robot has been engineered at NUST’s College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME).
