Nelson, (Mohammed Fiaz Bashir) – Nelson Town Council organized a Food Festival which was formally inaugurated by Mayor of Pendle, Muhammad Amir. The festival drew a large crowd, including councillors, community leaders, families, women, and children, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
The event featured a wide variety of traditional South Asian dishes, barbeque, and ice cream, which were enjoyed by attendees of all ages. Visitors expressed great delight at the opportunity to enjoy diverse cuisines in a community setting, emphasizing that such festivals should be organized regularly to promote cultural harmony and community engagement.
Adding to the excitement, a musical program was held midway through the festival, which entertained the audience and added further vibrancy to the celebrations.
Participants warmly thanked the Town Council for arranging the festival, appreciating the efforts to bring the community together.
The event was made possible through the dedicated support of the Food Festival organizing team, including Councillor Faraz Ahmed, Ruby Anwar, Naeem Akhtar, Mayor of Pendle Muhammad Amir, Shahbaz Ahmed, and others who worked tirelessly to ensure its success.
