Nelson (Mohammed Fiaz Bashir) – A grand procession was held in Nelson to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, attended by a large number of religious scholars, community leaders, and local residents.
Prominent scholars included Mufti Khalid Mahmood, Muhammad Amir, Pir Hashimuddin Gilani, and Hafiz Ikhlaq Mubarak. Political and social figures participating were Councillor Mian Azhar, Asjad Mahmood, Haji Hanif, Haji Arif, Mian Akram, Raja Zahid Iqbal, Mian Naeem, Raja Abbas, Chaudhry Bashir, and Haji Nazir.
Along the procession route, community members had arranged free food, drinks, and stalls of “Sabeel Allah” for the participants. The procession concluded at Ghausia Mosque, where Shah Sahib led a collective prayer. After the Zuhr prayer, a large-scale Langar (community meal) was served for all attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, religious scholars highlighted that over fifteen hundred years ago, the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came into the world at a time when darkness and ignorance prevailed. He brought a message of peace, love, and brotherhood.
They added that celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ symbolizes unity and the dissemination of the Prophet’s message of peace to the world. Scholars stressed the need to guide the younger generation towards the Seerah (life and teachings) of the Prophet ﷺ and for everyone to practice his teachings in daily life.
They further emphasized that the global community must recognize that true peace can only be achieved by following the path and commandments shown by the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
