Kashmiris in the UK to Stage Protest in London on August 5 Against Indian Occupation, Haji Chaudhry Muhammad Qurban

“Voices of the Voiceless: British Kashmiris to Rally for Human Rights and Justice in Indian-Occupied Kashmir”

LUTON, (Special Correspondent) __ The Coordinator of the Kashmir Solidarity Campaign in Luton, Haji Chaudhry Muhammad Qurban, has called on the British Kashmiri community to participate in a protest march in London on August 5, 2025. He described this date as “a day of pain and injustice for the people of Kashmir.”

The protest will commence at 1:00 PM from the residence of the UK Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street, and will proceed to the Indian High Commission. This demonstration aims to raise global awareness about India’s illegal revocation of Article 370 in 2019, which unilaterally ended Jammu and Kashmir’s special constitutional status, violating international law and United Nations resolutions.

“August 5 is a dark and unforgettable day for Kashmiris worldwide,” stated Haji Qurban. “We will conduct a peace march to show the world that we reject India’s unlawful occupation and stand in solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir.”

He urged Kashmiris from Luton, Slough, Birmingham, Reading, Oxford, High Wycombe, Southall, Croydon, and surrounding areas to mobilize and attend the protest in large numbers.

“This is not just a protest march,” he emphasized. “It is a loud call for justice, for the protection of basic human rights, and an opportunity to demonstrate to the international community that the Kashmiri diaspora will never remain silent in the face of tyranny.”

Haji Qurban appealed to British Kashmiris, human rights activists, youth, women, elders, and all conscientious citizens to unite and make their presence felt.

He added that despite the brutal crackdown in occupied Kashmir, the people there continue to resist with courage and look to the global Kashmiri community with hope.

“We must become their voice,” he said. “The children, mothers, and elders suffering under Indian occupation need our support now more than ever.”

He also called upon the UK Government and human rights organizations to pressure India to:

  • Reverse all illegal actions in occupied Kashmir.
  • End all forms of human rights violations.
  • Uphold Kashmiris’ right to self-determination under UN resolutions.

Haji Qurban concluded by encouraging everyone to join the protest on August 5 in London and show the world that Kashmiris are united, aware, and determined to fight for their rights—peacefully.
