New facility to produce cheese, butter and whey protein concentrate, with combined annual milk processing capacity set to reach 180 million litres

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) – Interloop Holdings Private Limited has announced plans to establish a new dairy processing plant in partnership with Türkiye-based Rella Gida, involving an investment of Rs15 billion through its subsidiary, IL Foods Limited.

The state-of-the-art facility will manufacture a range of dairy products, including cheese, butter and Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC80), a high-value protein ingredient used in the food and nutrition industries.

The company also plans to export a portion of the plant’s output, creating opportunities to expand Pakistan’s value-added exports and strengthen the country’s presence in international dairy markets.

Once the new facility becomes operational, the combined annual milk processing capacity of the company’s operations is expected to reach 180 million litres.

The investment reflects Interloop Holdings’ commitment to value addition, technological advancement and import substitution, while supporting the development of Pakistan’s dairy processing industry.

The project is expected to contribute to the production of higher-value dairy products locally, potentially reducing reliance on imported products and creating new opportunities in the domestic and export markets.

The partnership with Rella Gida marks a further step towards expanding Pakistan’s dairy processing capabilities and enhancing the value generated from the country’s milk production sector.
