Ottawa, (TW News) — The High Commission of Pakistan in Ottawa has reaffirmed its full support for initiatives aimed at strengthening Pakistan–Canada relations, following a high-level meeting focused on expanding sister city partnerships and advancing upcoming trade and cultural engagements.

During the meeting, the Muhammad Saleem underscored the importance of aligning municipal-level collaborations with broader diplomatic objectives. He shared insights into forthcoming delegation projects and emphasized the mission’s commitment to facilitating cooperation at multiple levels.

Strengthening Diplomatic and Municipal Linkages

A key area of discussion centered on enhancing Pakistan–Canada Sister Cities initiatives as a vehicle for economic, cultural, and people-to-people connectivity. The High Commissioner expressed readiness to connect relevant Canadian stakeholders with the Canadian High Commission in Islamabad to ensure streamlined coordination and institutional support.

To expedite new sister city arrangements, he assured that his office would engage Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant local administrations to lay the necessary groundwork for formal agreements and structured collaboration.
