BRUSSELS, (Unib Rashid) — The European Union has approved a €65 million (approximately Rs20.6 billion) grant package for Pakistan to support initiatives in three key areas.
The funding will be provided under the European Union’s flagship Global Gateway programme and will focus on supporting investment in Pakistan, strengthening the rule of law and improving the business environment, while also enhancing energy and environmental resilience.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the European Union by EU Ambassador to Pakistan Raimundas Karoblis and Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division Hamir Karim.
The grant represents continued EU support for Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen its investment environment, improve institutional capacity and address challenges related to energy and environmental resilience.
Through the Global Gateway programme, the European Union seeks to support sustainable investment and connectivity while strengthening cooperation with partner countries.
