London, (Shahzad Ali) __ In a recent meeting, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, commended the unwavering support of the British Kashmiri community for Pakistan, recognizing them as a vital asset to the nation.
In a heartfelt message to Lord Qurban Hussain, Dar expressed his gratitude for the valuable proposals concerning the development of Mirpur Airport, assuring that these recommendations would be communicated to the appropriate authorities in Pakistan. He reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the diaspora and enhancing support and facilities for overseas Kashmiris and Pakistanis.
Dar emphasized his determination to strengthen the connection with the diaspora, acknowledging their substantial contributions to both British society and Pakistan’s broader national interests. This commitment reflects an understanding of the vital role that the overseas community plays in fostering bilateral relations.
The constructive dialogue took place at the Pakistan High Commission in London on Monday, where a delegation led by Lord Qurban Hussain, including former Deputy Leader of Luton Council, Raja Mohammad Aslam Khan, and several other councillors, discussed critical issues affecting the residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
