Chairman Senate, H.E. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani,Meets with the Federal Minister for Finance of Austria.

VIENNA : Chairman Senate Meets with Federal Minister for Finance of Austria to Explore Avenues to Strengthen Bilateral Economic Cooperation. Chairman Senate, H.E. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, today met Mr. Gunter Mayr Federal Minister for Finance of Austria where they discussed matters of mutual importance.

During the meeting, the Chairman Senate highlighted the investment potential of Pakistan and steps taken by the government of Pakistan to attract and facilitate foreign investment in targeted sectors. The two sides agreed to further enhance bilateral trade and investment and provide reciprocal support to investors from both countries.

Mining, tourism, transport, information technology & technology transfer, clean energy transition and waste management were identified as major areas for further cooperation.

The two sides also agreed to exchange of high level visits and business delegations to further strengthen the bilateral economic cooperation.

H.E. Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, concluded his successful visit to Austria in which he met the President of Federal Council, President of National Council and several key dignitaries from Austria.
