Brussels: EU Foreign Policy Chief Urges Diplomacy on Iran, Warns Against Another War.

Brussels, (Unib Rashid) __ Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, has described the situation surrounding Iran as “very serious,” warning that the region cannot afford another war.

Speaking in Brussels ahead of a meeting of the European Foreign Affairs Council, Kallas emphasized the need for a diplomatic solution to ease rising tensions.

“We do not need another war in the region; we already have a lot on our plate,” she said, underscoring the EU’s commitment to pursuing diplomatic channels and expressing readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at de-escalation.

Kallas noted that concerns extend beyond Iran’s nuclear program, pointing to issues related to its ballistic missile program and other security challenges linked to Tehran.

She added that while Iran may currently be in a weaker position compared to previous years, the moment should be used constructively to seek a diplomatic resolution rather than further escalation.
